About Us
The WoodCelt is the name used by me, Jim Connor, woodturning and wood/mixed-media artisan. With 40 years of engineering and manufacturing behind me, starting aged 16 standing in front of a lathe, I decided to follow my passion of mixing engineering with art & creativity.
The pieces I produce range from pens to bowls, boxes and ornamental works. Sustainability and the environment are both very high priority in choosing material.
Much of the wood used, has a story to tell or at the very least has had a previous life.
Everything gets turned into something new.
